ESCaPe

Education, Sports, Citizenship and Parents (ESCaPe) Project

TRIAX have been working with Derry City Football Club, Local Schools, Derry City Council, University of Ulster and the two Healthy Living Centres to develop an Education/Sports Projects based upon the Playing for Success scheme existing in England.

Twelve individuals representing the steering group travelled to Sunderland and Newcastle early this year to see how the scheme is delivered there(visit funded by DSD).

The Derry Local Strategy Partnership funded a technical assistance grant to develop the project further and the business plan for ESCaPe was completed.

TRIAX were successful in their application to Derry Local Strategy Partnership for £100,000 to refurbish a unit at Iona Park.

The Design Team of ASI Architects were appointed and have made a change of use planning application for Iona Park for the Study Support Centre (SSC)

Discussions are continuing with WELB with respect to the adoption of the C2K I.T. System within the SSC.
